Prom Tips

Midnight in Paris

by: Sierra Holter

HEY, SENIORS!!!!
Let the count down to Prom 2012 begin. As of today we have 12 days until the big day. So whether you are going alone or with a date here are some tips to make sure your Prom is the absolute best Senior activity there is.

1) Be sure to pay off ALL student debts you may have. This includes ASB debts, Library debts and if you have played in any school sport be sure to return all equipment before buying your tickets.

2) Follow all the steps in our Prom Guide. (That paper we got at the last senior meeting with Mr. Carpizo, if you don't have one pick one up in the ASB)

3) Find a place to eat the night of the dance. Usually there are appetizers at the dance, but who has time to eat when you're dancing? Best idea is to eat before or after and just because you go eat somewhere does not mean you'll be spending much. Restaurants not listed in the Prom guide include: Denny's, Bronx Pizza (Hillcrest), Nicky Rottens (Gaslamp) and many many more can be found on http://www.urbanspoon.com/t/27/8/San-Diego/Late-Night-restaurants

4) Take pictures. You're going to Prom to make memories and one day you'll want to look back and say "I remember this night, it was amazing!", not " Oh Prom...I went, I think." Take your pictures before the dance to be able to dance and not worry about looking sweaty in the pics or right when you get there to avoid the long lines.

5) ENJOY YOURSELF! There are way too many adults who say they wish they would have had a more relaxing, fun time at their Senior Prom. Don't worry about your hair, don't worry about the after parties, worry about having a great time with your friends and making memories.

These may not be professional tips but surely if you're reading this you've already looked through the professional tips and still didn't find what you're looking for. Remember, Seniors, we only have 7 weeks of school left, so Class of Midnight enjoy your night in Paris.
