Dance

What Should We Do for New Years...?
by Elma Gonzalez

When people think of high school dances the first thing that comes to mind is Prom or Homecoming. However, this year our school has decided to offer another type of dance, one without dresses or royalty. This year SOH will honor students with perfect attendance by offering a dance next Friday, December 11. The idea came from a student. Two weeks ago Dr. Armstrong began appearing on KSOH, asking the students to think of ways to improve the school's attendance. A student submitted this idea, arguing that a good incentive could possibly do the trick. As a result, the principal, along with other administrators decided to hold this dance. "Those students who have had perfect attendance for the past two weeks will receive a special invitation," explains Dr. Armstrong. The dance will be held at the school gym from 7:00 - 9:30pm. For those who have had perfect attendance, it will be free of cost.
